Electric motors

Anyone on here have an electric inboard or outboard as aux power?

I may need to do something about the outboard on my Catalina 25 and have been reading about electric outboards and would be interested in talking to someone who actually has an electric outboard or inboard.

A few boats in my harbor have gone the route of the electric outboard.  These are mostly Olson 30, Cheetah 30 and sport-boats in that range.  They work well in flat water but do not have the power to push the boat in choppy windier conditions. Mostly used for getting to the starting line for a Thursday night beer-can.
