does anyone have a good hot boat drink? Something with some kick to it other than rounding fluid. ;D

Hot Buttered Rum...awesome on a cold sailing day...boil water...in a mug put half a tablespoon of butter....a good shot of rum...pour in hot water...stir with a real cinnamon stick until butter melts...enjoy...

Also hot chocolate spiked with Captain Morgan Spiced Rum makes for a nice thermos filler!

Other than warm beer (did I say that?) my all time favorite hot drink is Irish Coffee:

For each 8 oz coffee

1oz Irish Whiskey or more if you feel risky
1oz Baileys Irish Creme this doesn't add much steam
Optionally  a bit of creme, whipped or not, makes it supreme

Hot Toddy!

?1 oz brandy, whiskey, or rum
?1 Tbsp honey
?1/4 lemon
?1 cup hot water
?1 tea bag

Preparation:
1.Coat the bottom of a mug or an Irish coffee glass with honey.
2.Add the liquor and the juice of the lemon quarter.
3.On the side, heat water in a tea kettle and add the tea bag to make hot tea.
4.Pour the steaming tea into the glass and stir.

Mulled wine.

There are other variations, but I like to cook the herbs in only a little bit of wine so the alcohol doesn't evaporate.

Wow Jody.  I haven't had any of that since my grandmother last gave it to me when I got a cold.  Probably was all of 8. She used to add just a bit of sugar as well so I could not taste the brandy.  Brings back some really wonderful memories.
