We're kicking ass down here in Texas!  Membership in our local Dallas/Fort Worth chapter is now over 300 and new chapters in Lubbock and El Paso are also experiencing explosive growth.  Texans are actually beginning to feel re-legalization is within reach. Prosecutors are actually predicting change within the next 5-10 years. Recent polls now indicate Texans favoring cannabis legal reform are in the slight majority.  In addition to our conferences and seminars NORML has became a huge social organization.  The face of NORML has changed in appearance a great deal from Cheech & Chong types to more professionals, who are empowered to share their views to anyone that will listen. 

In the spring we plan to roll out a NORML wakeboard team and parasail crew.  These teams are forming now to compete nationally with the training, advice and counsel of Brian Sasser, a renowned wakeboard instructor, owner of a wake park and sales manager with Texas Mastercraft.  "Hydro" (our first boat rescued from a DEA asset forfeiture and donated by its owner was underpowered and largely unsuitable for these purposes) has been retired and replaced with a Mastercraft Prostar 205 competition ski-boat.  ("Hydro 2.0") It's powerful.  It's fast!  We have designed graphics very similar to those on the famous Hooters promotional boat.  Our custom made parasail is in and the FAA permitting process is underway.   We will be making these resources available to any chapter desiring to make their presence known at any sizable freshwater events in their area.  If you have anything in mind just contact us!
