I will assume that the GBCA will not treat this post as an ad, as I'm just a guy (my wife and I) trying to find some people to go sailing with. If the admin disagrees and yanks this post, I understand and respect that decision.

I did a charter with some friends in 2013 sailing a CAT from Athens to Mykonos. Fabulous trip, all 14 days without a single argument or problem. I'm looking to do the same on this trip so if you can't bend over backwards to get along, put any differences that might develop with crew mates aside NO MATTER WHAT, and have a good time, please do us all a favor and read no further. Please?because being responsible for the yacht and the people on it, I won't tolerate any BS.

I'm putting together a charter for mid 2015 with the same yacht broker. I want to do 14 days. The yacht I'm looking at is a very late model 56 foot five cabin monohull with genset and A/C. I have a couple of different yachts to choose from. I have a couple of cabins that I'd like to find crew for that can share the charter cost and expenses for the trip. This is a situation where everyone on the boat, from the captain to the crew, would be sharing equally in the sailing chores, and the costs, whatever they work out to be. I'll put up all the security deposits and all of that, and be responsible, as the captain, for the yacht.

The plan is to either pick up/drop off the boat up in Mykonos (600 euros cost) or sail straight from the marina on mainland Greece to Mykonos and then start island hopping on to Santorini. The objective is to visit the islands around Mykonos, and on to Santorini, as part of my plan to see all of the Aegean Sea.

What we did on the last trip was two of the cabins were taken by people that did the whole 14 days in Greece. The other two cabins were available for people who did 7 days. The ferry system in Greece is really good and you can get to any island on any day that yo unwed to get to, so you can do a 7 day section if you can't do 14.

The plan is to see the islands, and visit the historical sites between Mykonos and Santorini. If you know about the area, you'll know that there is a lot of stuff to see. Many ancient ruins and stuff like that, of historical significance.

If you have any interest in making this trip, please send me a message, and I'll get back to yo with more info. I'm going to reserve the yacht very soon, in order to get a nice discount for the early reservation so we have plenty of time to discuss, finalize the cream, and plan the trip. There are a few yachts available with this broker, including the 40 ft CAT we had the last time so if we fill up this yacht, arrangements could be made to add a boat. That would be up to whomever was interested as I'd just steer you to them, and not be involved with that other than sharing my experience, and whatever info I have.

The last trip was the sailing trip of a lifetime, and the cost to go would have been very cheap, comparatively. I could not have stayed in hotel room for what the yacht would have cost. (Thanks you guys, I'll never forget it!) And to see Greece from the water, you see it in a way that you just can't do unless you do it by boat. You see things you can only see when traveling by boat.

Hope to see you on the water in Greece?.cheers!

The monohull yacht (2014 Bavaria 56 ft) has been reserved, fees paid, for June 13th thru June 27, 2015 picking up in Athens Greece. With one of the couples, the guy is a dive instructor and the plan is to ship our dive gear over (and back) via DHL. The stuff will be delivered to the yacht the day we get there, and then picked up the day we leave.

I (three couples on the boat) would like to find one more person that is an experienced sailor. You don't need to be at the level where you have sailing certifications as we have that covered, just someone comfortable with general operations on a sailboat. Two of the couples on the boat are experienced sailors, one is not.

We are looking for a single person, interested in going, and we'll provide a cabin for that person. We would want you to do the whole 15 days. This is not a working position and you'd have no more responsibilities than anyone else on the yacht. You'd be equally sharing in whatever we all do. You'd just need to pay your airfare in and out, and your expenses while in country.

Please let me know if you're interested. Cheers?.
