Oh yeah, they made the right call to cancel the race. The trip home sure wouldn't have been fun. Looking at 40-50kt north winds in the morning right as everyone would be trying to get their boats out of here.

Woke up with my big boat tacking in my slip. Wind howling I had to wear earplugs to sleep. Glad I'm not out there or playing bumper boats at Port A

This is what you would have to put up with if you were dumb enough to try return from PA in the Gulf.  Those nice red kodachrome (know what that is?) colors are on the order of 35-40 pretty much on the nose.  Would not have been fun.
