I am leaving with Mojo in the morning, driving to Puerto Vallarta.  We are doing the MEXORC Regatta there starting on the 28th of this month.  If anyone is interested the regattta site is www.mexorc.com it should be a blast!!!  We are racing ORR and are the smallest boat in the regatta but not the slowest (at least by rating!!)

Made it Puerto Vallarta last night.  What a trip through Mexico!!!  Most of the way it was better than expected.  The last 300 miles from Guadalajara to PV took about 7 hrs and it was nerve racking!!!  Huge mountains, switch back curves and buses trying to pass me going uphill while other buses coming downhill!!!!  Absolutely no median to pull off to if any problems.  This looks to be an awesome event.  The resort they gave us free rooms at is amazing.  All inclusive with meals, drinks, room service, etc. free!!!!!  They are loosing money on me!!!!!!  The rooms are two bedroom condos overlooking the bay that PV is on!!!  Today they were putting signs up on the light poles with advertising about the event.

The sailing should be pretty amazing with the city and the mountains in the background.

Had a 2 2 today. Still in first by one point. Tomorrow is a 30 mile distance race and we anchor there with a huge party on the beach!!!  Wed is lay day so maybe take boat back to slip then.  Very impressive regatta so far. Incredible sailing conditions!!

We got first today in another distance race. 9 mile beat followed by 11 miles of planning downwind.  They did a pursuit start just like the rum races. We fit passed in the last mile by a tp 52 the custom 70 footer that won the SD to PV race and medicine man a water ballasted sled. Awesome venue, tied up to our borrowed 70' hatteras tender and went ashor in this cove were the party was!!!  Pretty awesome then motored the boat back to marina 2 hrs this evening!!  Off day tomorrow so just heading into town to party, yes at 12:45 pm. Just when thus town gets cranked up!!!  Off course Xavier is leading the way tonight.  We missed hitting a whale today by about 5'!!!  Pretty cool to see it then dive right when we got up on it.  More later!!!!

We had a 1, 2 today and increased our lead by 1/2 pt.  two boats tied in the first race.  We have distance race tomorrow and a Gold Cup triangle to finish out the regatta on Sat.  We will get one throw out if 8 races are completed.  We have a 4.5 pt lead.

Not so fast. We thought we had it won and they changed the results from Mondays race this evening. US sailing imputed wrong numbers on monday. Just discovered this morning and we found out about it this evening. We have 1/2 pt lead and throw out a two. Veloce throws out a four. One race left  we are filing redress right now. Hearing at 10 am tomorrow

I know you want to win, and you deserve to... but either way guys, you've done yourselves and Galveston Bay proud with your performance in the Mexorc. Looks like the conditions are just wonderful...

Good Luck! Way to go! and...    Tear 'em up tomorrow no matter the result tonight!
