Wow. The 'best of the best' are coming to our backdoor  :)

Coming up:
Melges 24 Worlds in Corpus, May 11-21
http://www.melgesworlds.com/
on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/TheRoadToCorpus

This fall:
J22 Worlds at Southern YC, Oct 9-15
http://www.j22worlds.com/

I'm sure the racing will be spectacular, even as a spectator.
Would like to hear from the local J22 teams competing.

Also, I bet plenty of good boats for sale after both of these events.
If you ever thought about buying either a M24 or J22 (or a set of lightly used sails, used one regatta) some deals to be had!

And our up and coming sailors will be competing in the Optimist Nationals in mid July.  This event will  bring more boats / competitors than all those other events combined - 400 expected.  Team Racing, Girls Championship and the big event with the Red/White/Blue sailors competing for the National Championship.  Most fun of all will be the Green fleet (sailors who are just learning to race) who sail on their own course.

Want to see some first class racing and Race Committee work, stop by...

Need a super light weight for m24 worlds, determining exact weight tomorrow as crew weighs in but will need 90-115lbs, slot previously filled by 12 year old opti sailor who grew up sailing Melges 24's, but is unavailable for this race.

Man, these one design guys are something else.

I would just have the crew load up on mexican food for a week or two.

In PHRF or Club Handicap, if we need 90-115 pounds, that means bring it in beer and ice...   ;)
