See photographs of the Day Sailer North Americans, held here in Clear Lake and Galveston Bay. I'm the event photographer, I'll be adding new galleries here daily throughout the week.

Today's races were cancelled so they are left with 2 days of racing.  Great group of sailors from across the US who are racing boats from new to over 50 years old.  These O'Day Day Sailors are about 16' long and carry a crew of 2.  They are looking forward to wind!

I have spent time with a couple of them this week from Tennessee and Virginia - great group of sailors who are serious, but having fun.

Hope you met a group tonight watching the Wednesday night races and prepping for their races tomorrow.

Must have been some great racing!  5 different boats won races - 6 races total.  The winning boat only won 1 race.
There are 10 types of people in this world - those that understand Binary, and those that don't.

The out of town folks really liked the conditions on the bay! We had an amazing set of races both days, and an amazing spinnaker reach back to LYC Thursday. There were big smiles on a lot of faces. Great job by our PRO Dwight, and the whole team the towed us out the channel! Kudos to Keith Gray for rescuing two boats; one that lost a forestay and was dismasted, and the second that death rolled, capsized  and needed some help. It was a truly awesome event, and we were so glad to be able to do it on Galveston Bay!
