Welcome to the new GBCA Discussion Forum. This new forum has been months in the making and we all can thank Kevin Bednar for his hard work in creating and designing this new forum for GBCA.
Now all I have to do if figure out how to get rid of this "Newbie" status. Sheesh! ???

K-Bed, BJ, et al. The reason we were having problems is that this forum is not Firefox friendly. I was locked out of my profile edits until I logged on with IE. Is there a Firefox add-on?
I'm using the "Epiphany" browser which is a Mozilla.org / Gecko based browser on Linux to post this.
The entire forum was set up and configured using Firefox on linux.
I think there was a glitch at the hosting company that caused the error we saw but I"m not certain.
There are still some configuration tweaks I'm going to make tonight so perhaps that was it but I bet it was just a hosting glitch...

Because of my work with various web sites and Regatta Network, which abhor IE and MS in general, I've found it important to check compatibility with all browsers, especially IE which so many of the public use.

Hmm, I don't have any karma at the moment, but you know I met the Dalai Lama once and he told me "when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.?" So I got that goin? for me, which is nice and probably as good as karma.

If you are using the latest firefox version, this should not be a problem, although have not tried it on the Mac :)

The software has a setting that allows us to make that a requirement. It's there because of COPPA;

OK Inquiring minds want to know. How do you get "Karma"? I need all the help I can get! :-\
Charles, on any given posting (that's not your own) take a look to the left, between the Karma score and Number of Posts... you should see an applaud/smite button.....click one of those
Note: You can't give yourself Karma...so you may have to sign up for that yoga class....
100 members on this FoRum in a little over a week. I would say that is a success!
Congrats on the new FoRum guys. Glad to see you didn't use phpbb. Sorry I wasn't able to help you setup up personally, but it looks like Kevin did a nice job.

Is it just me or will none of the links on main page show up with IE 8.0. It is ok with Firefox. But just got a new laptop and don't really want to load Firefox. I can get to the discussion page ok, but don't see the links on the left anymore
