Still looking for a ride - call my cell (the number on my sig. line) if you need someone last minute!

Hi!

David and I are looking for a ride for the Leukemia Cup Regatta. If you don't know us. David is a VERY experienced racer and can handle any job on the boat and I am a very enthusiastic novice who's happy to help out, even if I'm just rail mea... er, candy! We're a package deal so give us a shout if you need 2 extra people!

So is non-spin officially dead, or are we still hoping for last-minute hold outs?  Unfortunately, going spin is not an option for Big D at this time.

I promise, we both showered this month!

Here are a couple camera-phone pic's I got of the Elissa while we were racing. I wish I had thought to bring the good camera so I could have zoomed in!

It was a bit confusing, but I remember he did say other races might be starting. Was just glad when we heard the horn toot as we crossed.  Unfortunately, we had to withdraw from today's race due to lack of crew so hope everyone else had a great time!.

Nice! If I ever need to jump ship from Big D, I know who I'm calling. 

I wonder how many of us will be stocking St. Arnold's "Elissa IPA" in our iceboxes this weekend.

We saw your boom hit the water!  Those winds certainly were NOT what we had seen in any of the predictions. Fortunately we only sacrificed one beer to the wind gods.

We chose J first, not so much to get the longest leg out of the way, but because the way the wind had been forecast to shift (yeah right, so much for that), we thought the conditions would be more favorable for us to go that direction first. In hindsight, we would have gone to E, but considering how much of a newbie I am to all of this (as well as being visually impaired), to come in 2nd under those conditions had me pretty stoked!

Great pics as usual! Can't wait to see the rest! Duane, I hear you about everything hurting! I have so many bruises people will think David's beating me! (I just tell them he hits me with a 34' sailboat!)  But dayam that was fun!!

Thanks! We did get all the instructions, but David thought it was odd that there was no meeting so we just wanted to double check.  See you Saturday!

I'm not seeing anything listed about a skippers' meeting. Is there going to be one?

I'll join you for that rum drink while I let my other half (who only drinks Coor's Light) figure this out.
