Hi gang!

We are competing in the Blind Sailing Nationals in Newport in a couple of weeks, and this Thursday there is a news crew doing a story on our team. They want to film us practicing in Clear Lake but need access to a chase boat. We thought we had one lined up, but were just told it would not be available after all, so if anyone has a small power boat and a couple of hours to spare around lunch time this Thursday, please contact me. We'll be happy to pay for your fuel. Thanks!

I'd be interested - we need j22 practice anyhow, but I don't see Ann's email anywhere on here.

Does anyone know if they've cancelled this regatta? Nothing is coming up for registered entries.

OK, minor digression, but just want to say this: As a woman and a relative newbie to sailing. I have as raunchy and "un PC" a sense of humor as any far more seasoned sailor and try not to take things too seriously, however I was as appalled by the constant stream of degrading comments towards women on the SA thread as I was at the amount of "armchair skippers" berating people they don't know for a situation they did not personally witness. It really makes me appreciate the community we have here and how supportive and accepting they have been as opposed to what I've been reading there. Just sayin'.

Ours is the LITTLE TINY blue one! LOL!

Love when the tanker comes through - looks like they're racing too.

Looks like we'll finally be bringing the Soling out for the rum race tonight... and 2 out of 3 people on the boat are legally blind. 8) I'll be driving and our new friend Jim O'Loughlin will be trimming in practice for the blind sailing nationals next month.

We found a person for today but he can't make it tomorrow, so if anyone wants to jump on board with us, please give either of us a call. David - 832 492-0376 or me at 713. 408-0444. Thanks

David and I need a 3rd person on the Soling for Leukemia Cup. It's a very old-school no-frills boat. We race non-spin and you'd be helping me with jib trim and whisker pole. Call David at 832-492-0376 if you're interested. Thanks!.

I sent you a PM last night - we need a 3rd person on our Soling too, but I've sailed on Figaro and they're a good group so if you want to sail this weekend, looks like you've got a few options! :)

Man, these one design guys are something else.

In PHRF or Club Handicap, if we need 90-115 pounds, that means bring it in beer and ice...   ;)

We need a "LIKE" button on here like they have on Facebook!  :)

You're quite welcome - David said it one morning before one of the Icicle races and it was too good not to post. :)
