I'm a licensed 100 ton Captain looking to crew or skipper your boat for the Pensacola Race. I own a Catalina 30 which I have raced in 16 HMR's and I also crew for a 50' Beneteau and have done the Veracruez race on a Mumm 36.

Here is the deal. I have purchased the charts, added refrigeration, AIS and lee cloths to the boat. I purchased a used life raft but just found out today that is will be condemned. Does anyone know where I can rent or borrow a ISO or SOLAS certified life raft? If I can not find one I will have to withdraw from the race. A new 6 man raft costs over $3800 which is not in this years budget.

Need experienced crew for the 4/21 Heald Bank and 5/25 Galveston to Gulfport. Two of my normal crew have health issues and cannot participate this year. Boat is a Catalina 30 with many years of off shore racing and is very competitive in the non-spinnaker class.

I just found out that one of long time crew members will not be able to sail this year due to some construction delays on his new office. I sail a Catalina 30 and this will be my fifteenth HMR. I am a retired mechanical engineer with over 25 years of sailing experience. I hold a current 100 ton US Coast Guard Masters license with both a sailing and towing endorsement. I have skippered my Catalina 30 in 13 Harvest Moon Regattas and have placed in at least 8 of them.  I am a past Houston Sail and Power Squadron Commander and teach sailing for them as well as the new Boat Operators Certification program. I am very good at troubleshooting on board mechanical and electrical problems.  I have never had the time for the Regatta de Amigos  until now and would be an asset on any boat.
