General Discussion / Rum Races 2018
March 09, 2018, 07:05:55 PM
I noticed 2 Rum Races are scheduled on Fridays.  Is this a mistake or are they really on Fridays?  Skippers may have a hard time getting crew to take off work to make start times.

General Discussion / Call For Boats
June 01, 2016, 09:50:20 AM
Our 1st of 3 seminars is this Saturday, June 4.  We have 9 folks attending that would like to go out on a boat for the rum race.  If you are willing to take one or two people for the race, please let me know as soon as possible, your boat name, marina, and pier/slip so we can direct them to you.

As of now, we do not have any requests for an experienced sailor to sail on their boats, but if you are an experienced sailor and willing to sail on someones boat to help them out, let me know that also in case we get a request.

Thanks so much for your cooperation.  I am sure these folks would really appreciate it.

GBCA is excited to offer this seminar again this year. We always look forward to welcoming new sailors and love assisting them to make their sailing experience the best ever.

So tomorrow, if you are interested in racing tomorrow after the seminar there are two options.

1.  If you want to crew on someones boat and try out your newly learned skills, we can match you up on boats going out.
2.  If you are a skipper and want to race your own boat but feel you need a few experienced sailors to assist you, we can provide them also.

Please let us know if you are interested in either of these two options.  You can respond here or email me at mh3839@gmail.com

Locking forward to seeing you tomorrow

Jim Wells son Jason, a Pearland Police Officer, was in a terrible motorcycle accident yesterday.  They had to amputate his left leg below the knee and is facing more surgeries.  Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
