Series awards will be given out this Saturday at the party.

Will Stinker make a run at Hamburger?
Does Tenacious have the tenacity to pass Big D?
Will Rafael join GBCA in time to collect a prize?
Will Greg be gladdened by capturing a bottle of rum, a series championship AND the G Dock golden fender in one race?
Here are the current standings:

It's Happy Hour.  We were going to be drinking somewhere...
May as well be with us.

We are proposing updating the existing by-laws.  Basically alot of the standing committees have been removed, since we don't have anyone on them anyway (Article VIII).  But the most important thing is to allow electronic notifications of meetings (Article VII).

How often do we start and finish on the same point of sail?  Not too!
And we were lucky that those two legs happened to be downwind. Plus Greg sailed leg 2 perfectly, and tacked right before the big lefty, laying H mark close hauled. Turns out we way overstood trying to get to the new breeze first. Still probably the fastest way there.

I think it's time the GBCA Cruising class got more organized. Let's have a meeting after the race Saturday.  All you cruisers come find me at the party.

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Icicle #3/TMCA rum race
January 19, 2012, 09:24:52 AM
In this Saturday's Icicle race there will be a special class for TMCA (Texas Mariners Cruising Association) boats.  There will be about six boats.

They will be flying TMCA burgees on their backstays.  It is red, white, and blue so shouldn't be confused with the other class flags.

TMCA has assigned their handicaps, and they will be joining us for the after-race libations and story-telling. So party on!

Good point Kevin, and with the exception of the LYC Shoe Race I can't think of another regatta that is open to all classes for bouy racing.
BBVA Performance Cup? GBCA Frostbite? Leukemia Cup? Elissa?
Where were you idea guys for these?

Kudos to JBoats Southwest and LYC for having the idea and actually putting it into action.

Any idea what is on the food menu for the party this Sat. and what is the hopeful planned time for the awards.
Many thanks to all the race committee for all their hard work and the great food.

                              "KATANA"
P.S. Hope to see everyone in Port ?A?(HMR) safe and dry!
The menu is good food.  The time is after racing.

Strange.  All the photos work now.  Must have been on my end.  Probably another AT&T screw up.
...or maybe it's a nut loose on the keyboard.

Lots of misinformation, including that about you being fouled right after the start!  ;) ;)

Based on my knowledge of who has reserved slips, I estimate about 18. Still waiting on Lucy, Revolution, Blame it on Buffett, Alert, Big D...
