Good Luck!. Keep us updated please and fly the GBCA burgee
Looks like the wind was not exactly as hoped for. Musica currently rounding the east end of Cuba and waving at Gitmo.
Here is a Pineapple Cup trivia question for you folks - who was the overall winner of the Cup in 2001? I will buy the person with the correct answer a drink at the icicle race this saturday!
Bill Zartler
Bonkers - J 130
Chris, she meant the boat :D
Rum and squirt for me please!
I think I can spring for both of you - I may have to stop and get a bottle of squirt though!
Musica is 40 miles from rounding cuba, had a lot of issues with light wind and a navigator who didn't go in the right directions.
(He was not from Houston) As long as the winds keep up they will make it before the time limit on Friday noon.
Weather shows winds lightening up tomorrow morning....good luck Musica
We nailed the start--and found all the holes afterward. Our sail inventory was short the only one we needed after the start line--Jib Top.
It was on order with Pedro, but could not get to the race course on time. We sailed the first few hours in the soft underbelly of Musica, narrow reaching in 10-12 knots with only a jib to use. We tried our code zero and it dragged us north soon after the start, and the Gulf Stream added to that. The Fast 40 Different Drummer stayed in decent wind the whole way and was the only boat to finish our class. Lot's will be added to the B Sailing facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/B-Sailing/157390607941

actually Jeff, she said "... who..." I think Chris wins..
To late Scott, she already paid off Saturday... besides doesn't every part of the team win, boat, crew and skipper?
Good on team Musica, that is a very big commitment, everything wise, on their part.
