Any body know about these boats? The good, the bad, points?? Construction? OK for HMR? Seems like a good way to have fun on the bay, able to overnight with some creature comforts, have above avg. speed potential AND not break the bank. Is the draft an issue (for all you 7 footers out there)? Thanks

General Discussion / Small outboard motor help

Well, the kids charged the inflatable dinghy into shallow water and ran the prop clean off the Yamaha 4hp motor. Anyone know where I can get a new one (propeller)? West Marine doesn't carry anything that small. I need the prop, nut, pin, etc. The kids did a good job................

Anyone have a 4, 5, 6hp outboard motor they want to sell? Short shaft preferred. Need one badly.

Last time I did the race and others, including a Gulf crossing, it was in a multi-hull that wouldn't sink. My new, used boat, will sink (monohull). So the question: What is the general consensus for life rafts? I don't have one, but I do have an inflatable dinghy. But at just over 10' long and almost 5' wide it is a tad large to tie to the foredeck. Plus, it is heavy. What does everyone use? Has everyone gone out and bought one (life raft)? Anyone have a source for rentals? Anyone want to buy my inflatable - I'll send pics.

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Harvest Moon Safety Item

What is everyone doing for tether attachment points in the cockpit?  I really don't want to start drilling holes in the deck, removing interior liners, etc..... I've got jack lines on deck, but no "attachment points" in the cockpit as someone leaves the cabin, which is what I understood was req'd when I attended the safety meeting a week ago.
Thanks-
