Is it just me or will none of the links on main page show up with IE 8.0. It is ok with Firefox. But just got a new laptop and don't really want to load Firefox. I can get to the discussion page ok, but don't see the links on the left anymore

I am interested in comments of how to improve the WRN... beside of getting rid of me off the boat...

Get a PA system on the water like we use to have a people watching can know what is going on get more interest. We might get more people out there? It is a thought. OH and maybe have a sponsored boat that take out a new person a week like we had 3-4 years ago when I was here. That is how grand daughter and I got out on Catalina 22 Sport that Sea Lake owned. We got a 1st and she was happy!!!!

Scott:

CLMC? It looked like a section of 4" pipe looped up....If that is gas or ? pipe or you hooked it, it would rip a rudder off!!!! If you caught dagger board or something like that it could be bad. I use to be a welding inspector and we layed that stuff in Black Bay in La. Yea good to be back, just trying to crew some till I get another boat. I am on the crew list if you need anyone.

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Pipe Hazard in Channel
August 09, 2009, 12:51:43 AM
I was sailing on a F-28 R Sat and noticed what looked like a section of blue colored 4" pipe sticking up while going out the channel. It was just before Channel Marker #5. I have been gone for 3 years, so I don't know if Ike pushed it up of what. Could really do some damage if caught.

I have 30 yrs of sailing experience.mainly on catamarans. I have sailed everything from 14 ft catamaran to Baltic 51. I know a little about snuffer spinnakers. I was main sheet trimmer in GBCA races and 3 Wed mights.  Doug 281-549-4774 or dougsnell2000  at yahoo  dot com
