The out of town folks really liked the conditions on the bay! We had an amazing set of races both days, and an amazing spinnaker reach back to LYC Thursday. There were big smiles on a lot of faces. Great job by our PRO Dwight, and the whole team the towed us out the channel! Kudos to Keith Gray for rescuing two boats; one that lost a forestay and was dismasted, and the second that death rolled, capsized and needed some help. It was a truly awesome event, and we were so glad to be able to do it on Galveston Bay!

Sorry to see it's gone. I tried a little one year to see if they would open it up for some smaller centerboard one-designs. It was tough to get them interested.
It would be great to get a race week going - I recall Buddy Brown had an idea for something like that during the spring break time frame. I had floated the idea to some of my Day Sailer friends up north, they seemed like they liked the idea. sounds like there's potential.
