Like Terry, we need the ratings for the boats if they changed for the Orange Flag fleet.

CurmudgeonII was one of the boats, my Steering cable broke just as I was turning up to try to go over Katana and a slower baot coming around the mark hit us as we had no control. Sure wish he had fallen off the wind instead of coming up. No real damage to me, bent a stauchion and its already repaired. But the steering cable will be a much harder repair. I didn't see any damage at all to the other boat.

It only takes one leg and that is what they have been getting, but look at the results, the spin boats usually win with just one leg, and the previous post was right, no matter how much Kevin tries, it is impossible to rate spin boats with non spin boats on the same course.
Thats just my opinion, and I am sticking to it, 20 years of racing on all types of boats gives me a lot of insight.

Thanks,
Its just too bad that some of us that chose not to fly spinnakers had to sail with boats that did. I don't think there is any way that the ratings can be adjusted to compensate a boat that does not fly a spinnaker. In the last race #8, I was in the lead all the way till the chutes started poping.

Curmudgeon II finished at 8:39:06.

Thanks for the clarification on GBCA Cruising with Spinnaker. i did not think Spinnakers were allowed in this class at all, regardless of the rating.
As for the luffing me out, and the explanation from Bednar, it is clear that numerous times I attempted to pass Lil Bit O Sol within the 2 boats links and they took me up every time. Clearly in violation of the rules. IT WILL BE REMEMBERED.

I am sick and tired of being luffed up and boats in GBCA cruising flying spinnakers, are there no sailors in this association with integrity. Is winning a bottle of RUM that important????
