The Notice of Registration is posted at

Our regatta chair person and PROs will appreciate if you enter early, rather than later, it gives us much more time to plan.
Thank You in Advance!!!!
I don't doubt the Viper class will make all of the other classes look bad. They have a reputation for signing up early and in mass. J22's, J80's, J105's, CRUISING CLASS? Anyone want to prove me wrong?
Us old J105 people are just too slow to keep up with you hot-rodders.
You signed up BEE!!! Thank you!!!
I always sign up early. I'm the oldest, dumbest, and the most old fashioned (did I say old?) so there.
BTW, just to put a bit of pressure on the rest of Fleet 17, I suspect we will have at least 5 boats on the line:
Stinger, Babe, Solaris, Infinity, and Radiance.
With a bit of luck we might entice both Zippity, and Marian V out. That would give us 7 and be a real hoot. Would feel like the old days.

You said "Old" again! I resemble that remark!
I like old. Its kind of creaky.
Good for you Bee. Anyone with a J105 on GB owes you a debt of gratitude for helping them maintain their boat value - by keeping that OD fleet alive and well.
What's with everyone waiting until the last few days' to register for these events. If you know you're going to make it, sign up! I cant imagine how difficult putting something like together is - planning for meals, booze etc.
You see so many viper folks sign up early because well, once you've been bitten it's hard not to sit at your desk thinking about sailing. ;-)
Wish i was going to be in town for this event, sounds like it's going to be a hoot.
Bee, Seven 105's on the line would be just great! it's been too long since that's happened!
Yeah, Ed. I would be ecstatic! I keep pushing. Maybe it will happen one day. The Bay Cup II with four was super.
Wow! Two snakes and an insect signed up so far!
Check out the new poster for the 27th Annual BBVA Compass Performance Cup Regatta!! AND special thanks to KO Sailing for their sponsorship!!
Great job on the poster!
Volunteers Needed!!!
If you are interested in doing race committee for the Bank Regatta -- we need volunteers for both days. We'll be running a PHRF line and a One Design line so if you don't plan on racing, please let me know if you'd be available to help with the regatta.
ALSO -- we need a few more motorboats to help run the races. If you have a motorboat that would work as a markset boat and you are willing to let GBCA borrow it for the weekend, please contact me. It will be taken care of and returned to you fully fueled and cleaned.

Slips will be available at Watergate YC for the weekend!
Anyone is welcome. (even if you already keep your boat in Kemah, or SSY, etc.)
The slips will be on Pier 4 which is with in stumbling distance of the event tent. They are 30 or 40 foot slips, 6' deep, power and water included. You'll be given a key for the weekend to have access to showers and restrooms.
If you're interested, please contact me to reserve your slip today!!
10 boats signed up! Thanks everyone for the early registration! Keep 'em coming! It's going to be a fantastic weekend in October! Look for T-shirt designs to be revealed this week. We'll place the order on Friday so if you need any special sizes, send me a note!!
Lake's all across the state are empty.. call everyone you know at AYC, Canyon etc.. tell them to get their boat's down to the bay this weeken for they HYC OD regatta - leave them in Houston and then come back for the Jody's shindig.
82 boat's signed up for the HYC event this weekend. No reason there should be at least that many for the Compass Bank, maybe a lot more based on the fact that it's open to PHRF fleets.
Get the word out! Call your friends and invite them down! I'd love to start seeing 100 boat regatta's again on the bay.
Yes -- do what Jonsey says!!!
HYC and Watergate have volunteered space for trailered boats. Contact me if you want to come down and race this weekend and then leave your boat here for the Bank Regatta.
Check out the Special Release from the Texas Viper fleet! This is for ALL Texas Sailors!! All you need to know about the HYC One-Design Regatta and the BBVA Compass PC Regatta!!!

Shirts will be $20. They are Badger dry shirts - short sleeved high performance t-shirts. If you want to make sure you have a specific size, please email me your order. I'll be placing the final on Friday. I will be ordering some women's shirts but only large and medium in very small numbers. Let me know! jody0221 at yahoo dot com
Oh, how I love all of you that wait until the last minute to sign up....
Here is the bottom line. It is expensive to run 2 lines at a regatta but we want to do it so that the racing is excellent and we can get as many races in as possible to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. Tonight is our board meeting and as the regatta chair, I have a feeling I will be asked if we can justify 2 lines with only 18 boats signed up. I don't think I can at this point. In the past 4 years that I've been involved with the Bank Regatta, we have never had less than 26 boats sign up so I know you're out there.....lurking.....waiting to sign up after we've ordered the food and t-shirts and trophies.....
Please sign up if you plan on racing and if for some reason, you can't sign up today but intend to - can you send me an email that states that? jody0221 at yahoo dot com
Everything you need to know about the Bank Regatta is in this special edition of the Cannon!!!
