I am pretty disgusted that TX A&M admits no responsibility(still) to the tragedy that claimed life of one of our brethren.

This report is very incomplete. Why have the design specs not surfaced?

not sure why they aren't public yet.  The thing I don't get is EVEN IF the boat was underbuilt, amateur repairs made without a survey or correspondance with the builder merits some level of responsibility taken - if not all.  I think A&M is merely posturing because certainly they are smart enough to see the obvious.

CYA... their boat, their attorney, their report... This is going to get uglier than it already is...  I feel for the family because this will get drawn out...

Which brings a point, how many of us have REALLY checked our boats out?  Are we being as safe as we can be, or just enough?

cheers...
