Registration is still open and will continue through the next two weeks.  We need to know numbers for the caterers as soon as possible.  There is a late fee that kicks in starting this Saturday/Sunday midnight.

FYI - TABC laws will not permit anyone to carry in their own hooch/wine/rum.   :o  The security will ask you to return it to your car.  There will be an open bar, but we need to know how many to plan for.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!!  ALOHA!!

11 of the 25 boats that came out are of the Orange Cruising Club.  That's so COOL!! (no pun intended).
The "hard-core" racers are not so hard-core?   ;D

Sailor here, Sorry I have not checked the forum much today. If you have not figured out the Membership tab, you can pay at the first Icicle Race with a credit card. We should have a couple of "square's" available. If you would like to sign up on line and need help, you can email me at sailsong@swbell.net.
Scotty

Who are you calling square?

Wouter Verbraak is a well known and highly respected navigator.  There is a good article of his owning up to the responsibility on Scuttlebutt.  There is an even better breakdown and explanation of the event and location on GeoGarage.  S#!t happens to the best of them, even with the best high tech equipment.

Hope for more wind tomorrow than we have down here today.

Thanks Brad  ::)

Due to high winds (20+ knts  :o and gusting) with predictions for it to build further; for safety of crew and borrowed boats, we have decided to Abandon racing today.  We will try to reschedule to another day - TBD.

Not the predicted wind conditions we were seeing yesterday ??? , but I guess the weather gods decided otherwise.  It is what it is.

GBCA has a lot of good food already prepared, so come on over to GBCA at 2:00 and join us for lunch.

Maybe we should get a photographer to take some pictures of what will be some outstanding racing?

We can get you front row seats if you'd like to help with RC on one of the markset boats or signal.

No.  Just rescheduled to November 15.  Too much was already going on in October.

Sorry, my faux pas.   :-[

More to come later as the four clubs come together.
