What time does the Commodores Ball start and is this a dinner thing or just trophy presentation.  Is it semi formal, black tie, etc. etc. Thanks!

We've only been in GBCA for eight months.  Is it foolish to inquire where the Commodores Ball will be held?
I've never signed up for anything unless I knew what I was signing up for!

Hey Guys.  As first year racers with GBCA we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  We've met great people and have gotten less slower with each opportunity.  We added a folding prop and made crew changes and now would like to add a pole.  Whisker or spinnaker.  Does anybody have a pole in their garage no longer then 13.25 ft. they would be willing to part with for a reasonable cost.  My wife said she needs this so when I start barking for sail trim on the downwind leg, she'll have something long enough to shove up my a--!! We have a 32 1/2 ft sloop. THANKX..

Guys.  If you want better attendance at the after race parties.... Start the rum races at 4pm.  This would get the racers to the clubhouse by 7-730pm.  I think the earlier times would encourage more participation.
It's worth a try!  When the sun goes down, people tend to stay on their boats.

Yep!!  I didn't click on the race number.  My wife found it..  Life is good.  We may be newbies , but we are learning.  Thanks for the help!!

Thanks kathlyn for the help.  I checked the regatta site and its the same thing.  All it shows is order of finish with no finish times.  The Frostbite Regatta had the additional info.  Guess we just gotta get faster!

Is there a reason why the race results don't include actual and adjusted finish times?  Some of the older regattas illustrate this info, but the latest regattas just show order of finish.  It would be nice to know how close or far away we were from the boats finishing in front of us..Being a newbe, it may boost our morale somewhat!

Hi Guys.  I understand there is a trophy presentation on Sunday after the mixed race.  Is there a party Sat. nite after the race?
