I know I'm asking for chaos by doing this but I don't want to order the wrong sizes for everyone so I'm going to open this up for a pre-order.

See attached pictures.

The GBCA logo on the back of the shirt appears bigger than it actually will be and the BBVA Compass logo will be on the left sleeve.

There are women's V-neck and Men's crew neck T-shirts.  They are made by fruit of the loom.  They are 6.1 oz cotton, 100% Fruit spun.  (I don't know what that means)

I am limited by what I can upload so I know these are small.

Send me an email.  jhenry@shwgroup.com

Galveston Bay Area Racing / J80 Sailors - Look Here!
September 28, 2009, 07:00:10 PM
J80 Sailors!!

The GBCA racing club out of Seabrook, TX will host the BBVA Compass Regatta on October 17 and 18. This is ONE WEEK prior to the NA's.

This is a perfect opportunity to warm up your boat, your crew and start to understand the wind patterns of Galveston Bay.

Now -- here is the important part....

IF we have 12 80's (or more) sign up for the BBVA Compass Regatta, we will run a separate line only for the 80's and give you as many races as you prefer or can handle to tune up for the North Americans on October 23 and 24.

This is honestly the best time to be sailing in Texas and what a better way to warm up than racing in a Performance Cup Regatta one weekend before the big show.

Let's not forget the best part - there is a Party Saturday night on Jennings Island with fried catfish, shrimp and hush puppies not to mention, free Rum and Mojitos and Dark and Stormy's made by the ladies from Treaty Oak Rum in Austin!!

To register for this regatta - VISIT - www.gbca.org and click on "BBVA COMPASS PERFORMANCE CUP REGATTA". The registration is through Regatta Network.

Thank you so much and email me with questions!

Regatta Chair
and Vice Commodore of GBCA

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Mast in the Water
September 14, 2009, 06:16:25 PM
This was posted on our Facebook discussion page, so FYI!

From Dave Koplin-

Most of you don't know me but I am a full time Captain on the Boardwalk Beast, and also a sailor. I have an S2 11.0 which we cruise on in the winter.
About a week ago I spotted a mast floating in the bay NE of Clear Creek marker 2. Yesterday I saw it again in about the same spot so stopped to check it out and it looks like it is attached to something, preventing it from floating away. I think there is a good possibility the boat belonging to the mast is on the bottom under it. The exact position is
29*33.768'N
94*59.362'W
Mark it on your plotters so you don't hit it. Also feel free to pass this on to your other boating friends.
See you on the water,
Dave

General Discussion / Free Sails
August 30, 2009, 10:29:13 AM
Okay, I'm emptying out the garage.  Here are the first 2 ---

I'd prefer if you came and picked them up but if that's not a possibility - we can talk about it.

The first is a jib - luff is 29'8"

The second is a main made by HOOD - it's 39'-4" on the luff
it's numbered 3888 and has  "K"

I think there are 3 or 4 more but it's hot and they aren't small sails.

I'll post pictures if you ned them.

Thanks,
Jody
