The event website is at: http://www.regattanetwork.com/event/10653

Points of interest:
1.) 12noon first warning; Multi-leg courses in Galveston Bay
2.) In light of the recent tragedies at Dauphin Island and Lake Erie, the following is a requirement for Bay Cup II (see NOR 19), and likely future events:
Check In: At each yacht?s Prestart Check-in, every soul aboard shall be visible on deck wearing a Personal Flotation Device (PFD).

Hope you can come out and play on the Bay!

I hear your point, Jack....the challenge is that we have the Overall/Series Trophies for each class for the Bay Cup series (BC I & BC II). The criteria for an Overall/Series Trophy is the same boat, same skipper, same class for both BC I and BC II.....which means that the splits for BC I in the largest part define the splits for BC II.

Bee is also correct.... more boats could create additional split possibilities, while still preserving the Overall structure.

See you on the water.....

Great weather, great sailing....an amazing weekend to be on the water! Thanks to all of the competitors and volunteers!

Unfortunately there was an error in the Beneteau 41 results/awards announced at the Awards affecting 1st & 2nd places, the root of which involved the results of Race 1. The corrected overall results are:

  • 1st Place - Tipsea, Dennis Kokkinis
  • 2nd Place - Honey Badger, Scott Tuma

Our apologies to the skippers and crew of both boats.
