The scale uses the slowest boat on the scale, the Pacific Seacraft 31, PHRF of 219 as the scratch start time of 11:39:32. The rest of the start times are the math based on the ORC differential.

The difference from the rum races is that the scratch time was based on the J22 as the slowest boat's PHRF. The Pacific Seacraft came later.

Amendment #1 Posted this morning.

Apologies, but there was a typo in the coordinates for the "Virtual Mark" 2A boundary for the oyster reefs.

The coordinate should read:

  - San Leon Oyster Mitigation 2A ”Virtual Mark” (SLOM 2A): N 29o 32.310’ W 094o 56.817’

Thanks Gary,

See  https://orc.org/

If you go to the "Sailor Services" page, you can set up a log-in for no charge. That is where you have complete access to the database and can search for certificates.

We are working on getting a recording of last night's webinar posted so those that missed can access also.

Best,

Chris

Yes, we are working on finalizing the NOR so 2022 is a placeholder. All other pieces (Fees and dates) are correct. The correct NOR will be released shortly.

Wednesday Night Racing / Re: Series 4 Race 3 Results

We've spoken to more than the two that chimed in here. So, "mathematically speaking" we are closer to a majority than not.

I suspect the scoring will come out the same if scored low point, which is the general intention. I was not quite sure how Regatta Network would shake out the entire 5 series, particularly with boats jumping in/out in a given series. That is what led to the Total Corrected Time verbiage. The general idea is, that a boat that shows up regularly and sails the fastest regularly, wins.

Good Evening Everyone,

We have just posted Amendment #3 of the Sailing Instructions:

https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/mgmt_event_uploads.php?regatta_id=24978

The primary purpose of this Amendment is to simplify the start and minimize confusion. PLEASE NOTE: Review Section IX. The starting order, course, and GPS starting times are now fixed for the remainder of Series 4 and 5. Again, please review accordingly before tomorrow evening.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out directly.

Thanks,

Race Committee

Wednesday Night Racing / Re: Series 4 Race 3 Results

The decision last week was based on the presumption that the Markus was not working correctly after kicking off the warning of the first class. That is why we decided the fairest thing would be to not score the race.

However, it sounds like the majority (if not all) of the boats were not affected. We will go ahead and score everyone as they finished.

Thanks for your patience.

Ah, gotcha. I thought you meant points for the series.

For individual races, go to: results.gbca.org

Choose the individual race you are looking for, scroll to the bottom and click the "Show all Results" button. That will populate all boats that submitted a time for that specific race.
