I want to thank Dave Christensen for signing up early for this year's PCR. We will do an give away at the skipper's meeting and the more days you've been entered prior to October 5th, the better chances you have for winning! Get signed up now!!
I can resemble that remark. I won a pair of top-of-the-line Sospenders because I signed first.
Second this time, so get signed up if you want to beat Dave and I.
I guess Denise beat me again....she's signed up just ahead of Shaken Not Stirred. She's helming again, right Dave? ;D
Okay -- I'm going to revise my previous statement....
For those of you who are not familiar with the PCR format, we have a raffle on Saturday night with a choice of prizes from local vendors. (usually 15 or so items) Each prize has a box and you are able to put your raffle tickets in the prize of your choice for a drawing that occurs sometime during the party. Everyone gets 1 free raffle ticket and there are 2 included in the skipper's packet.
For every day you sign up before October 3rd, you will receive a raffle ticket to put in the prize box of your choice on Saturday night. That being said, if you sign up today - you will have 15 extra chances to win the prize of your choice!!
The Performance Cup Regatta is fast approaching and I encourage all to sign up and make this a great regatta....But, if you are not racing and would still like to participate, Volunteers are needed to make this a special event. Help is needed with set up, selling t-shirts, taking food tickets, tear down, and various other assignments. This is also a great time to think about a Board position or even a Flag Officer. Help make this and all GBCA events a success. Contact me at sailsong@swbell.net.

Beverly, Denise will be giving you a break as I will be helming Airborne..... :)
The Landis Armstrong Trio will be playing Saturday night and the food will be provided by Rockabilly Concessions Food Truck! We have a ton of giveaways for the raffle and it should be outstanding weather.
We know you have a lot of regattas to choose from this season and we thank you for choosing GBCA!
If you would like to keep your boat at Watergate Marina for the weekend (near the on-shore events), the people at Watergate are generously donating floating or fixed docks and all of the water and power you need. Please let me know if you'd like to reserve a spot at Watergate!
This year's T-shirts are short-sleeved, Sport-TEK, performance T's. The photo of the back is attached!
The Landis Armstrong Trio is not to miss. I thought Dick Dale himself was there last year.
Check out the playlist. Surf tunes, rockabilly and alot more!

Got my snazzy postcard reminder in the mail. Sweet!
17 boats - really?!? ??? Surely we can surpass last year's 39 boats!
Looks like only the J105's, J22's and Vipers are coming out to play as having formed a class. Possibly the J109's and PHRF's. Where are the Club Cruisers? I hear the A-Cats might be joining us!
Come on people - help your volunteers to help you - sign up! ;D
It will be fun! 8)
The Texans kicked some booty, Sailflow shows wind for this weekend, and The Weather Channel predicts great weather for this weekend....Let's race. We have a good non-spin class forming and I hear the Catalina 22's will make a show of it. It should be great weather and a better time on the water and the after-race-parties. I have a few great volunteers to help make this a great party for YOU ! Sign up to race and if you can't race, come volunteer.

Skippers meeting @ 1900 hours in the club house.
Well, technically -- it will be in the tent right next to the club house. Don't park by the pool please -- ALL weekend. Park by the club and in the parking lot on your left before you get to the clubhouse. We will see you in the big white tent tomorrow evening around 6 or 6:30!!!
NOR indicates a link to Sailing Instructions. It is past 1900 Friday but no SIs. Please advice.
Now posted on Regatta Network link.

Two glorious days of sailing. Racing committee thanks for toughing it out for us. It is a real treat to then be able to look at the great pictures made by Lacy: that makes the GBCA regattas special. Now back to work!
It really was a fun regatta. Too bad we can't get 60 boats out.
Thanks to all the volunteers.
GBCA is really the place to race!
Loading up Day 2. About a third of the way thru and still loading.

Dave Christensen
S/C Airborne
Thanks.
John, just to be sure how many pictures are there in total? Did you upload all or is this a selection ;)
Again, thank you for doing this it makes for great views on our yachts (and our crew) and also is very helpful to review sail trim and have a discussion with the sail-maker!
We missed the drinks because we sailed Saturday night to get some sailing in the dark experience...which we got....with some wind.
Maarten
Everything should be loaded now. I don't recall the total but it is around 2400. Yea I know ::) Took a while yesterday to get the second day of racing.
Enjoy!
