2013 Registration is open and there will be Seminars, but only a few(see 2913 schedule on the web site). That's the good news...
Unfortunately in doing it and removing old data, I hit a wrong button and sent out the confirming emails from last year to about thirty people, who are probably very puzzled about this. Simply sending back the email and confirming it is not enough to register for 2013. To begin with, registration is never complete without payment, but we also need the database that gets created by the entry form since all old info was removed from the site.
Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like I do nothing here but Mea Culpa, but here goes.
The web site is now open to new user accounts. Sign up to be able to log in and access Crew list contacts and the list of competitors.
This login signup (lower left, create an account) is optional and is in addition to registering to race (Top Menu, Event Registration) which is available without logging in.
In my panic to exclude hackers, I turned this off, then forgot it existed...
Your feeble webmeister.
Remember us?
We have a web site and want people, other than the spammers to visit us. To cut down the spam, actually Denial of Service attacks, I blacklist people according to their IP address. Recently I have been completely blocking what I thought were blocks of addresses from remote parts of the world where no CLRA folks hang out. Turns out some of those places with several spammers were in fact local, including places like NJ, Dallas and Chicago, which turn out to be headquarters for AOL, Comcast etc. So I went through all of my blacklist today and removed a ton of blocks on places that unlike Brazil and the Ukraine, are not spam havens.
Sooooooo if you have been blocked out of CLRA's website, try again. If you still have problems, let me know.
John
We currently are running a poll on our web site, asking folks how we can improve our courses for Wednesday Night races. And it might not be so bad to get a little conversation going here. Soooo, shout out any ideas you have about ways to improve the whole experience. We already have one change in mind, and will trot it out for use during Series Six, which starts August 21. Speak up, or forever crunch your fiberglass.
John
Well, it is that time of year again. We will soon be finishing up the season and handing out annual awards. For this year's balloting, we have a single all in one form for your convenience. This year we will do it a little differently. The initial form will be for nomination in each of the three categories. Sportsmanship, best crew and most improved. The nominations will be open during Series 6. After the final race, Scott will determine the 3-4 most deserving candidates and we will have a period of voting for your favorites among them. Previously we have given annual awards on some pretty thin voting, so this should at least make it a little more fair.
The nomination form is up now, under General Info on the web site.
John
John I tried to fill in the nominations and kept getting Invalid input. I gave up after four tries.
You have to fill in all the blanks. I will remove the validity checking.
John
I have fixed and tested. You do not have to fill in every blank space. You do have to supply all the validation info(name and email) and pass the spam test.
John
You asked earlier about courses.
Throw one vote in for Buddys old courses 5 and 7 for OD and PHRF Spin.
Less bumper boats....
Maybe something to consider for next season :)
Here are the pictures I took of WNR. Christina Tuma invited me on the R/C boat and I had a great time. The best place to watch the races. I also helped pulling up the marks and was treated to a spectacular rising of a Blue Moon. Also a great finish of the J-22's. A great day on the lake. It was too nice of a day not to take out Tramp. We went out and watched the WNR on the bay and were treated to some nice match racing. Short enough course that it was easy to follow up and down the course. Hope Tramp did not make a wind shadow, tried to stay back far enough. Here is a link to the pictures of the bay racers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157635287281539/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157635287281539/). If anybody would like some 100% pictures (these are 30%), email me at sailsong@swbell.net. Go Texans!

OK Fantastic last evening, and Scott Lacy will have some great fotos up very soon. As they say in the movies, Houston, we have a problem. A few people claim to have gotten hung up trying to submit nominations for the awards. OK the problem is probably in the antispam settings. Remember that you can refresh the random letters and you must redo the letters each time you submit. If I don't have that in there, your nominee will be someone who lives in the Ukraine. I will leave it open till Saturday Sept 14, at which time Scott will tell me who to put on the ballot. As usual, nominations may be sent in to Scott directly using the "Contact us" on the web site, or his email address or mine, which are on the web site.

Sailing to Port A in the am. I was not able to load any pictures. Hopefully John will be able to get them loaded tomorrow. Scott
Got the pictures loaded that Scott took but Flickr is down for maintenance so check back.

Award nominations are closed. Voting begins soon.
For those of you wondering about the end of the year party, and/or hesitating to sign up, our apologies. Exact arrangements are still in flux. Villa Capri is an excellent restaurant and will be serving food during our party.
The price of that food will not be included in the price of admission to the party. Exact food arrangements are being finalized and will be announced on the web site.
Admission price will be free for each registered skipper who makes a reservation on-line for themselves and at least one paid admission person and who has registered and paid for the year. The price for all others who have on-line reservations in advance will be $5. Price for unreserved admission at the door will be $10. Free reservations for skippers will close October 5.
Payment may be in advance or at the door. We plan to have incentives for early arrivers.
Semi finals results. Four boats racing today, due to Ben Miller having to drop out.
Racing in Flying Scots, prepped by Christopher Dees and Scott Tuma, and the Skippers, borrowed from HYC.
Team One, J80 Fleet-Forbes Durdin scored 2 1 2 1=6
Team Three, J22 Fleet-Casey Lambert scored 1 2 1 2=6
Team Four, Portsmouth Fleet-Bob Hunkins scored 3 3 4 3=13
Team Two, PHRF S-Spinnaker Fleet-Chris Alk (for Burns Brown) scored 4 4 3 4=15
J80 Fleet-Forbes Durdin and J22 Fleet-Casey Lambert advance to the finals October 2
The racing was very spirited and quite close with considerable pressure on the leaders by Bob Hunkins. On one mark rounding all three boats were within a boat length of the mark at the same time. Photos and some video were taken. These may be available at the EOY Party.
Second semifinal Watt Duffy (four bullets!!) and Tom Meeh make it through to the finals.
And in the finals ...
Reserve your place at the party, and get in two for the price of one if you are registered to sail and paid for the year(and reserve ahead)
$5 with reservations, $10 without
What a great final race to Wednesday Nite Racing! With such light conditions, the skill came out. Thanks to Chris Alk and John Dees for keeping Tramp on the straight and narrow. The link for WNR 10-02-13 is as follows: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157636169369376/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157636169369376/) . I loaded the pictures to the last semi- final but forgot to post the link.
