Title: Looking to crew
Post by: Dimitris on August 09, 2015, 02:53:02 PM
Greetings!

I recently moved to the Houston area and looking for opportunities to get on the water. My sailing experience so far has been of the cruising type but I always wanted to get into racing. After witnessing the last two Rum races it looks like the Galveston Bay is the right place to pursue this.

I have Basic Cruising and Bareboat Cruising certifications from US Sailing and have taken spinnaker training on J/24s. Experience-wise I've had numerous day-sails in the San Francisco Bay and have skippered or crewed several vacation charters in Greece, the BVIs and the San Juan islands.  I am laid back but can be very focused when on task and I am always looking to learn.

Thank you!

Dimitris

If you can not find crew on this website, try Clearlake Wednesday Night Raciing. There is a good crew list there, with a wide range of experience..
