Title: Small outboard motor help
Post by: Chris P on June 29, 2010, 08:13:37 PM
Well, the kids charged the inflatable dinghy into shallow water and ran the prop clean off the Yamaha 4hp motor. Anyone know where I can get a new one (propeller)? West Marine doesn't carry anything that small. I need the prop, nut, pin, etc. The kids did a good job................

Try these guys, they have had parts for my rather ancient Evinrude in stock every time I needed something.

You can go to a local company call Advanced Marine Services.  Speak with Linn, call 281.332.1929.

Recommend that you order a few extra shear pins.  Hard lessons have taught me to have a few of those in the spare parts box.  It really sucks to be stuck with a working motor but a prop that won't spin.
