Well looks like I am bringing back "It'll Do" this weekend. Keel all fixed up and a new bottom on her. What are the Marinas to stop at? specifically around Port O'connor and a stopping place before Freeport.   and I am goping solo, if anyone wants to come along.

I gave up on the Singlehanded race yesterday when a J70 came bearing down on me under spinnaker and didnt alter course and I had to either crash tack or gybe around. I gybed.  Decided not to deal with the rest of the crowd. The Single Handed and the Doubles should be their own race. Maybe you should eliminate a RumRace or two if it means that other races would get better participation. Frankly, with the RumRace, SDR and Peanut races, there are a ton of opportunities for people to casually race. Maybe too many at this point.

That was my boat. We got caught out before we could reef it, and the 40 year old main gave up about half way back. just two of us. But other that that we were fine. Just a bit of a wet ride back.

It had my Portsmouth rating instead of the PHRF or the Cruising Club? Just curious if this is correct?

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Raceqs

Just a promo for folks to use Raceqs on the bay races. There were not many boats on it for this Saturday's Rum Race. It's plum easy and can give a lot feedback.

Galveston Bay Area Racing / Re: Icicle Rating System
February 07, 2020, 10:29:22 AM
How about the low point scoring system? with any boats that enter at least one race are ranked. all boats that DNF/DSQ/DNC receive last place points. So 1st gets one. Tenth gets 10. if there are 15 boats total in the class at the end, all the DNF/DSQ/DNC boats get 15 for those races.
