When we were there, the docent said they hoped to start construction in a year. But, they still have a lot of funds to raise.

Today we visited the Houston Maritime Museum. Yes, who figured there was such a thing. It's in a house a block south of the Medical Center, surrounded by condos and office buildings. What an incredible surprise. Not big like many others, but a collection of high quality. Well worth the visit and the support. They have big plans. Land already on lease from the Port and design by Gensler. All they need is a couple of mil more. Go visit. It will make you happy.

I just got a renewal notice from Sailing World. $40/year??? Not worth it. I found it on Kindle for $9.99. Works on iPhone and Android phones, iPad and Android tablets and of course Kindle readers. Zinio has it for $11.99. It works on Mac and PCs, as well.

You're not old enough Steve, but anyone over 50 should seriously consider the coverage with Hartford through AARP. Saved me hundreds on the boat insurance, not to mention homeowners and auto.

I was very happy with Diesel Fuel Maintenance. 281-842-8015. $300 back in 2010.

Until your start time the RC doesn't know if you have started and are OCS or just sailing on the course side of the line and planning on returning for your proper start.

Section 8.2 of the SI's does specify that a boat's start time is "GPS" time.

They cancelled tomorrow's first leg of the MS 150 due to dangerous weather.

Also Chuck Buckner's 42s7 Heatwave and Al Poindexter's Tripp 36 Andale. There were actual bylaws as I recall. Haltom would be the logical source for them, if they exist anymore. It was a pretty good class with some good racing and lasted a few years. I was on Predator.
