Women's foul weather bibs - Third Reef (West Marine brand). These are a roomy size 8. I only wore them a couple of times and I'm more of a fair weather sailer now so I just don't see needing them again. Great pockets. All zippers and Velcro on good condition. Email for photos  ;D Karenpenrose@yahoo.som $50

Un-Classified Ads / 1969 Soling for sale
March 27, 2022, 07:52:28 PM
We are looking for a new home for our old blue Soling. As much as David and I love that boat, we just haven’t been able to race lately and we would love to see her go to somebody who would get her back on the water. This is a 1969 Soling that still has the original winches. and deep floorboard. Although this is not a one design Soling, it is an excellent PHRF boat that has won multiple class championships for Wednesday night races and won or placed in multiple regattas.  Asking price is $2000, which includes trailer and two sets of sails (once that was only used for half a season before we stopped racing, The other set has a few years of wear but still in good shape). Newer standing rigging, but could use a little TLC in other areas. Please call David at 832-492-0376 if you think you might be interested in giving Old Blue a new home.

General Discussion / Dave Perry Webinasr Series
March 04, 2021, 06:21:51 PM
Dave Perry is well known for his enthusiastic and engaging teaching style for sailors of all ages and levels, as well as highly respected for his deep knowledge of the sport of Sailing. He is one of the sport's leading coaches and rules experts, serving on the US Sailing Appeals Committee and being the Rules Advisor for several recent America's Cup teams and the US Sailing Team at the 2008, 2012 and 2021 Olympic Games.
Dave is excited to "return" to the Houston area and continue his online work with the sailors and race officials in the area, to help them know the rules better so they are more confident in close-quarter action at the starts and around the marks, and so they can play and run the game at a higher level. Dave encourages sailors of all abilities, or who normally crew, to join us because knowing the rules better will dramatically increase their racing enjoyment.

I believe the chili needs to be there by 4-4:30 PM. At least that's what time the judges are supposed to be there.

General Discussion / Unmarked obstruction near HYC
January 15, 2017, 12:00:25 AM
Just to let anyone coming to or from HYC know, Phoenix struck something HARD and unmarked. We were on the HYC side of the channel and were past the dredging lines. We struck hard and got hung up on whatever it was. The depth all around there was 8-9'. There was a nearby mooring ball, but again, we were past the known dredging lines. We are waiting to see what damage was done to Phoenix, and also will be investigating the cause of this dangerous obstruction. The approximate coordinates are N29*37.11 by W94*59.228.
