It's a bye week for CLRA, so anyone interested in getting out on the water should consider bay racing this Wednesday. We use the GBCA Icicle SI's and add 6 hours to the start time.

Reverse course is proposed for this Wednesday.

Galveston Historical Foundation is hosting a "Tall Ships Festival" event the first weekend in April.

In addition to our own Elissa, five other tall ships will be participating in the festival.

Tickets can be purchased to sail aboard the boats for:

• Twilight Sails

It's up to you. Based on the skippers that have checked in with me or stated their intentions, we have 4 spin and one either NS or club handicap.

CLRA is not racing this week so it's time for a bay race! We'll follow the 2017 Icicle Races (link in previous post) and add 6 hours to the start time. The forecast is for NE winds so lets go with the reverse course.

Six boats and counting...

Time for one last Wednesday night race in the bay. Icicle race start times + six hours (a link to the SI's is in this thread. Course TBD depending on wind forecast. Prize for the first spinnaker monohull to finish. 3 boats so far!

Join other Galveston Bay sail boaters for a great charity event, the Waterford Yacht Club Regatta Benefiting Lighthouse Charity Team. This year the race takes place on Saturday, October 1, and is followed by a full evening of festivities - all in support of an important local charity!

A special trophy, "The Wheel", will go to the wining yacht club. In addition to taking The Wheel, the winning skipper will be able to direct a $1000 donation to his or her favorite local charity.

This will be a 10 mile pursuit style race in Galveston Bay.
