Look on the front page of the GBCA website or on Regatta Network under archives.
If it's on the front page, it's hidden pretty good.  I just guessed.  ;)

A few questions...

  • Why is there an entry fee for what is essentially a free rum race?
  • How can a junior get the $5 discount when GBCA membership requires that you be over 18?
  • What is mark 'T'?
  • Competitor's briefing June 15? 2013?
;)

General Discussion / Betsie
February 14, 2018, 01:37:59 PM
For those that may not have heard, I'm saddened to report that Betsie Morlan lost her brave battle with cancer. She passed away at home in her sleep early Sunday morning.
Per her wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life is planned for March 31st, details forthcoming.
Chris requests no flowers or anything, but if you want to do something in Betsie's memory, consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Betsie was one of a kind, and will be dearly missed by many (now that's an understatement!).
Fair winds, Betsie.

Maybe next time run it through the JayZ translator. :)

... In the reviews, we do take in consideration sail age and condition, boat bottom condition, and mechanics of the boat itself.

Do you mean "we do not take in consideration sail age and condition, boat bottom condition, and mechanics of the boat itself." ?
Nor do you take into consideration the skill level of the crew.

There's a reason why the rum (!) races are the best attended events on the Bay!
Because they are FREE???  :o

A couple of amendments to the SIs...
One to replace a non-existent fixed mark with an existing one, and the course changes that it affects:

Another to allow the RC the option of starting the races outside the jetties at 5A.
