Box Lunch order form here.

Please one form per boat, per day.  Get with your skipper regarding this. (Don't all skippers take care of their crews?)

I am racing my Boat "Second Wind" a J130 in this Saturday (the 8th) and the 22 Rum races, as well at the August 5th Bay Cup race.   I could use another 2 or 3 crew for each race.   Chris Waters
Probably looking to reclaim the G dock "Golden Fender".   ;D

It would REALLY help us if we know how many of you are planning on coming to the party(s).
You get 2 event passes with your boat registration, but everyone else needs to purchase an event pass, preferably now.

So if you are planning on coming down to Galveston next weekend, PLEASE purchase your event pass now.  It's fun and easy!

THANKS!

Chris,
The W/L format will be something like:
Start at marker 11, sail around the south jetty to a floating mark by the pleasure pier.  Then to another floating mark and back to the other floating mark a few times (this is the W/L part).  Then back around the south jetty and finish at marker 11. This is the "beach" course.
We probably won't decide on which course to run until we see what the weather is like.  The beach course is good when the wind is light, because it is easy to shorten.  If the wind is up, we can use a longer offshore course around rigs (plus that might be miserable for the markset boat).
If we run the "beach" course (W/L), we will probably send all fleets on it, with differing numbers of legs on the W/L part.  But even if it is the beach course, there is still a bit of reaching.

Heard that the bearing on the crane is to be replaced next week, and that the crane will be inoperable on Monday April 10 and probably Tuesday April 11.

The local J/22 fleet is growing by the minute, and we suspect we are the largest one design keelboat fleet in Galveston Bay.
We are attempting to get organized, and in that effort, have revamped our website to make it easier to communicate with each other and keep everyone updated on fleet news.
If you are an owner, crew, or just interested in local J/22 goings-on, head over to
j22fleet6texas.com
and sign up to get on our list!

The After-race party and dinner will be downstairs at Cabo Bar and Grill on Saturday March 18.  You will need a ticket, which includes Taco bar (Mahi and Jerk Chicken), rice, beans, queso, chips, 2 rum drinks, and your share of a keg of beer.  Two tickets are included with your boat registration.
It would really help us out if you would buy your tickets early, so we can better judge how much food we need! Plus you won't have to wait in line to pay.

Buy your dinner tickets here.

Buy your t-shirt here.

The party runs from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, and dinner will be served around 7:00pm.  After 10:00, the downstairs opens to the public with DJ and dancing.

Let's party.

I showed my son some of the photos from past "Judge Smails" Regattas. He's got some friends interested. Is there anything else that goes on besides dressing in costume for the race?

How dare you call proper yachting attire a "costume"!

As you pass or get passed by Stinger, thank Bee for providing the food for the after-party this week.   8)

Also if you sail by them before the start, remind him to turn on RaceQs!
