Very cool, you ready work well together. At least in the video, hard to walk away if you get mad at each other, and theres water all around you. Sold my boat for a camper, my wife did not like a rolling bathroom. Now I just crew.

I just heard about the lost of our good friend Jim Wells as well, we both raced in the Wednesday Races on Clearlake, for many years, he always was helpful to us all and always kept you smiling. He crewed for me(KATANA) in the 2010 Rum Races and the 2010 Harvest Moon Race(see photo) and helped us win a second place trophy, that was a race you just felt lucky to finish, but with Jims help we made it. We had some great talks together on that race, he will be greatly missed, but suffers no longer.

I would like to suggest that we all fly(the higher the better) our American flags on the first Icicle race in memory of Jim! I think most of us have an American flag, just my thoughts pass it on and maybe it will catch on! Terry Young

They were just making crew member change-ups, and forgot the gang plank :-) . The camera never forgets! I remember one ?fogy? Icicle race going around the low range, it was so fogy you could only see about 100 feet ahead, I could only hear a bunch of yelling and then the sound of crunching fiber glass and then more yelling! I so glad to be in the lead at the time.

Quote from earlyer feed-
Participants are reminded that these are "fun races" without race/protest committee.  Aggressive, close quarter racing is frowned upon.  Let's help each other out.

That looked pretty close, if Kidd was under motor(which she always is) unless restricted by depth(was not) then Kidd was clearly in the wrong. Bee was  first on a port tact at the first frame, but tact to starboard well clear distance it "appears" of Kidd( which does not matter, Kidd was under motor), just a note as well, Kidd has been seeing us race out there for years and should no better than being so close to the pin mark, but he wanted to give his paying customers a close up! It might be good to contact him and get his side as well, and ask him if he would mind keeping a little distance. A boating accident would be bad for his business, as well as the boat he hit, rite or wrong. In the end we all need to play nice with the other boater, even if we no the boating rules and they do not, you maybe rite but " you lose" time in court, and in boat repairs time, and then good luck collecting damage money. I was hit many years back had to take it to court and won, it took me almost two years to collect. Just my thoughts, Terry.

I would like to nominate Walter Horton as Fleet Captain or any other seat that is available. He and his wonderful wife Marilyn have been very active members of GBCA and Wednesday night racing as well, Walter is well known and respected here in the sailing community. He has helped many beginners here, to get their feet, and become sailor, and has volunteered his time and boat to take Boy Scotts out to get there sailing badges.

I agree with Bee, best $130 I have ever spent in a club member ship($50 for crew level). Have so much fun with a lot of great people, and get fed to! As always great job done by the race committee, and Scott took a lot of great action photos that makes it possible to share to fun with family and friends!  Hope to see you all in Port "A" for the HMR! Go FireWater! Terry(FireWater crew)

Hats off to Escape Hatch, we tried to roll them on the last leg but they were having no part of it, they had the work hard to keep second place and they earned it. Great job, welcome to the game, you doing well, keep it up. Terry Young (FireWater crew)

Note to myself - Pipes in water equal, bad mojo!!!

Best of luck on your keel patch Bee! Remember a few years back of a boat(CW) with a damaged keel drop off in the Gulf, and bad things happened. Be safe! Terry

Ouch Bee, no one racing is that shoal draft, looks like you found the surprise in the cereal box before anyone else did, hope all will be well on Stinger before the next race. I would be nice if someone marked the post better that I talked about earlier, before we do RR# 4 this time when we round ?J?, it may be getting dark and hard to see. Just my thoughts.
