Pat Gibson?  Jeff Jones?  Farley?  Robby?  Drake?  Where are all the Vipers?

Where have all the Vipers gone?  Long time passing.

That woul be PETE Seeger in 1955.  Good song any way you look at it.
I would have guessed that the Vipers would have been at the NAs in Marblehead, but there aren't any TX boats in the event:-(  There was a Viper clinic this past weekend at HYC - rumored to have fiberglass carnage...

There are 10 types of people in this world - those that understand Binary, and those that don't.

I met Pete's brother many years ago and actually met Pete through him.  Very nice guys.  One a singer (you figure out which one) the other a PHD engineer.

BTW was there enough wind to race today or did you guys use a lot of diesel?

I think maybe it was the latter.

Wish we could have gotten a couple of more races but it was fun.

Happy Birthday Liz!

One race in light air northerly conditions before the breeze went right and proceeded to die.  Tried a second race, but time limit expired.

Congratulations to Marie Mather and her crew of French Connection, winning the Women's Regatta overall award.

Flowers for all the ladies; wines, sandiwiches, salads and of course rum for all at the apres race party.

Thanks to all the volunteers and participants.

Thanks for the great pictures and for the bottle of champagne!!  It was opened before we got to marker #2.

Nice job RC. Some difficult conditions with the light (then nonexistant) wind. You did what you could!
Double thanks to the Lacy Bros and Allan on the markset boat!

I just put Bob in there to see who was old enough to figure it out!

I can't for the life of me remember what Pete's brothers name was but he looked enough like Pete for me to do a double take when I first met him.  If I remember correctly he was an EE.

This was when I was in Project Cyclops at Moffet Field in 1971. Forty-one years ago is to long to remember much of anything.  Especially since I suffer from CRS disease.

Bee

Dang, ain't google grand.

Pete's older brother was Charles and he was a "Radio Astronomer."  That fits in perfectly.

Sailaway

Well I think this says it all for the second race!

Bummer!

I love how "full" that black and yellow kite is.  Beautiful

You guys are great Scott and John

I'm just glad Infinity was close enough to the bunch to make it into the picture.  And in case you were wondering....the right side didn't pay on that upwind leg  ::)  It was a ton of fun anyway.  Thanks to all the GBCA volunteers that made it once again a special day for the chicks.  Great turnout, despite the less than perfect sailing conditions!
