Just to clarify...

The next rum Race is Aug. 14 and the Singles/Doubles is the 21-22.

I have had an inquiry about how tie breakers are broken in the scoring. In RRS Appendix A8.1, it explains how this is done. In regular person language the boat who has the "best finishes" will brake the tie. For example if boat "A" had (3) 3rds and (1) 5th for an equal of 10 points and boat "B" had (2) 2nds and (1) 4th for a total of 10 points, Boat B would have the tie breaker because of its two second places.

Also in Appendix A8.2 if the above does not break the tie, i.e. Boat "A" had (2) 1st and (1) fifth and Boat "B" also has (2) 1st and (1) fifth, the boat who got the first in the last race scored would win the tie breaker.

Remember the point system for rum races is 1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 4 points, 3rd place = 3 points, 4th place = 2 points, and 5th place = 1st place.

Thanks for the update but fyi the name of my boat in 4th place in SOS is "Rolanna Sue".

Looking forward to 22 where we ( my daughter and me ) take a shot at the Mixed doubles.
