All J/Boats sailors, make plans to participate in the 4th annual J/Fest Southwest on November 2-3! As incentive for early sign-up, LYC is offering free regatta T-shirts (long-sleeved) for all crew members for boats that sign up before 1700 hrs on September 2, 2013! We want to show those that might travel from far away that it is worthwhile to come to this event. They look at the registration list to decide. That's why we want it populated early!

Congrats Al. Second place is absolutely spectacular.  Wunderbar!

Gentle reminder that the early registration incentive for the 2013 J/Fest Southwest Regatta (t-shirts for all crew members) ends on September 2 at 5:00pm!

Big John

Buncha J-boats zipping around is a whole lot better topic than arguing over the number of Angels that can dance on the bow of a Flying Dutchman.  This should be one of the bigger and certainly better events of the year here on the bay.  Get with it.

Skippers-make your crew think you appreciate them!?  Sign up for J/Fest today.  This is early, early registration.  the price doesn't go up tomorrow-but today you get free t-shirts for all of your crew.  Tomorrow you don't.

For the last several years we've been marketing to sailors north of the mason/dixon line to come sail all of our fall events:  the HOOD, GBCA-Performance Cup, Harvest Moon Regatta, and J/Fest Southwest.  If we get people to sign up for these events early and in numbers-it will serve to back up our marketing message.  Thus the early, early sign up with free stuff offered.

Poke your skipper, other J/Boat owners and get them to sign up today at:  https://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id=6982

Thanks!  And lets go racing this fall!  Support your local club-make all of our fall events a raging success!

Looking forward to a great event!

I saw those nasty new UK sails for the J88 on Friday.  Seems terrible to come kill us all with such a nice new toy.

I WANNA RIDE.  WAHHHHH.

Bee-

Your one up on me!  I haven't seen my sails yet!  but I've heard good things about them!  Attached is the business end of the deal.

Brutal racing but great course, great party, great food, and, of course, the usual wonderful set of volunteers.

Thanks to all.

Here are the pictures I took Sunday from the cushy deck of "Eagle Ford". I was able to do a little r/c work, get some pics, and get a tour of the engine room....Spectacular. The link to the pictures is http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157637318836676/ and all the sets are at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/. These are the 30% sizes. If interested in the 100%, send me an email at sailsong@swbell.net. Free as always.
