thanks, that was a fun, very exciting finish. We are learning as this is our first year on the Bay, and enjoying every race.  So glad we found GBCA, a great group. We appreciate the welcome and the rum. Gilbert

Last Rum Race of the Season! Here are the pictures....http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/72157635442803996/, and all the sets at....http://www.flickr.com/photos/lacyphotos/sets/. These are 30% of the original size so email me if you would like the 100% (Free  ;D) at sailsong@swbell.net. I thought we were way out of the way of the first mark UNTIL the wind shifted almost 60 degrees in 15 minutes :-\. Made for a few close pics. Thanks to all who participated. It made for a fun day on the water.

svShearwater

Great photos Scott!  This was our first Rum Race and the first time we've seen photos of Shearwater underway.  Super cool.  We had a blast out there and learned a lot about sailing a big boat double-handed in anger (also learned about the finishing reporting rules...  Oops!)

Sad that was the last RR of the year.  We were just getting warmed up and ready to play. :)
Life is not a dress rehearsal.

Bee

The 3 fat brothers always do a spectacular job of taking pictures.  Their Tramp and all the other volunteers makes GBCA the absolute best value on the bay.  In fact, I think there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world.

I agree with Bee, best $130 I have ever spent in a club member ship($50 for crew level). Have so much fun with a lot of great people, and get fed to! As always great job done by the race committee, and Scott took a lot of great action photos that makes it possible to share to fun with family and friends!  Hope to see you all in Port "A" for the HMR! Go FireWater! Terry(FireWater crew)
