Obstructions

I'm looking to relocate the red buoy for Rum Races.

Anyone who has coordinates of objects they have hit, or seen (the pvc oyster plots don't count), please send them to me. I will plot these and work on placing the mark to avoid these obstructions. More than likely, it will make the course shorter.

  I know this will make for about a mile shorter course, but why not go back to using Trinity Cut mark #8 and the Lower Range marker "E".  If you get out your older charts and compare them with a new one, You will see that, if you go south of oyster mark M53, you are in the old Red Fish gas production field. While the well heads and support platforms are removed, the interconnected pipes are still there. As long as there is shrimping in the bay, they will continue to pull up the old abandoned pipes.
