Title: 2012 HYC Revognah/New Years fireworks in Kemah
Post by: ChrisK on December 28, 2011, 06:38:24 AM
The first 2012 sailing event of the year is over at HYC.
The skippers meeting is at noon, HYC bar.
Temperature forecasted to be about 70?
The race is a very casual format and good fun

This is more then fun.  The NOR is worth attending the skippers meeting all by itself.  Rumor has it that there will be two or three 105's out this year.

Also,
New Years Eve fireworks will be out of Kemah starting at 10 pm.
Being on a boat doesn't seem like that bad of an idea on amateur night  ;)

Report?  Bee?  How did it go?

Sad to say, we were in bed by 10!   Saving our strength for the HYC midwinter regatta and MGRW.

I don't have a clue as to how the backward hangover turned out.  We never really got our act together, but we did managed to broach.  Water is warmer then I expected, but I can still yell at the top of my lungs.

The two old pharts got a bit happy on the way back and we all seemed to have a really good time.

My only disappointment is that Billy did not give us the old "fun" version of the SI's.
