Title: Pipe Hazard in Channel
Post by: Hobie17 on August 09, 2009, 12:51:43 AM
I was sailing on a F-28 R Sat and noticed what looked like a section of blue colored 4" pipe sticking up while going out the channel. It was just before Channel Marker #5. I have been gone for 3 years, so I don't know if Ike pushed it up of what. Could really do some damage if caught.

Scott:

CLMC? It looked like a section of 4" pipe looped up....If that is gas or ? pipe or you hooked it, it would rip a rudder off!!!! If you caught dagger board or something like that it could be bad. I use to be a welding inspector and we layed that stuff in Black Bay in La. Yea good to be back, just trying to crew some till I get another boat. I am on the crew list if you need anyone.
