Title: Lift raft - Harvest Moon and other offshore / coastal racing
Post by: Chris P on August 29, 2009, 05:20:28 PM
Last time I did the race and others, including a Gulf crossing, it was in a multi-hull that wouldn't sink. My new, used boat, will sink (monohull). So the question: What is the general consensus for life rafts? I don't have one, but I do have an inflatable dinghy. But at just over 10' long and almost 5' wide it is a tad large to tie to the foredeck. Plus, it is heavy. What does everyone use? Has everyone gone out and bought one (life raft)? Anyone have a source for rentals? Anyone want to buy my inflatable - I'll send pics.

Dear Other Woman....
I sold it.  Bought a smaller one to do double duty as a life raft.
