Title: Posting 1st place times with results
Post by: derklauer on June 24, 2015, 10:27:57 AM
Is it possible to include the first place finish times for each class with the rum race results?  Currently there is no way of gauging progress (or lack of) for those of us in the middle/end of the pack.

Club handicaps does this already to allow us to adjust their handicaps.

For the other fleets there is no requirement to report finish times to GBCA.
I encourage each racer to record their own time and share it with others in their fleet to gauge how much separation there was.
If the other fleets turn in their times those can be published.

Skippers: Get someone on your crew who can leave an iPhone or Android phone alone for the race to turn on and record your boat's track with RaceQs.com.

It's fun to watch the replay and see where you can improve.

Here's a sample track from the last race. Seems easier than sharing GPX data...Thanks
