Preparing for tomorrows race...I'm thinking a little something-something (http://www.food.com/recipe/dave-liebermans-hot-toddy-in-a-thermos-154251) for the thermos to warm the soul:

per 1 cup boiling water
rum, to taste...count to (only?) two as you pour
2 teaspoons honey
3 thin lemon slices
Combine ingredients in thermos and shake.

I'm open to other suggestions. Post your favorite here...

Just a simple formula:

1 part orange juice
1 part Champagne of your choice.
     Cheap is good here

Has the joint effect of providing vitamin C against colds and warming you up at the same time.

"Jaga-Tee" (hunter's tea),
a popular concoction among skiers in the alps:

non-spin...............2 parts hot tea, 1 part schnaps
spin.....................2 parts schnaps, 1 part tea
multihull...............double or triple schnaps (your boat decides)
club handi.............anything goes
single handed........you've only got one hand - wanna race or mix
                          drinks? Make up your mind!

nutritional value : zero
potential benefit: may give you the illusion of warmth before dying from hypothermia or triggering an avalanche
(from one of the few survivors)

Or....

For the warmth of hot cocoa
and the warmth of . . . rum

Alcoholic Coconut Almond Cocoa
Serves 2

Ingredients:
?2 tbsp. cocoa powder
?2 tbsp. sugar
?2 c. milk
?1 oz. rum (or more per preference)
?1 oz. amaretto
?Whipped cream (optional)
?Shredded coconut as garnish (optional)

Directions:
1.Mix sugar, milk and cocoa powder in a sauce pan over medium heat. Heat until steaming, not boiling.
2.Add in liqueur and rum. Pour into two mugs.
3.Top with whipped cream, if desired. Drizzle amaretto over whipped cream, if desired.
4.Top with shredded coconut.

I just fill a big-a$$ thermos "almost" full of hot chocolate, then pour in spiced rum until I can just seal it without any spillage :)

...or just leave your beer in the cockpit with you. No cooler required!

Agree, works well in the bay......but not necessarily in deep powder in the rockies!
Sorry for playing a little dirty today; won't happen again - until the next race.
