GBCA Discussion Forum

Fairly experienced recreational racer looking for more serious boat/team for the 2018 Rum Races.  I've already done 2 rounds of icicle series and 1 round of Rum Races, not to mention Turkey Day, Harvest Moon, Reach Down the Beach and various others.   

Quick sailing bio on me:
•   Really serious last 1.5yrs
•   Member of SSBG club, race weekly with them when I can
•   Crewed or helmed at least 4 regattas and 7 rum/icicle series
•   Logged over 1,000 nm offshore, including 2 freeport sails, Harvest Moon Regatta, and Rally to the Cup (Newport to Bermuda)
•   Taken 3 different US sailing courses

I LOVE sailing!  I am an active sailor / racer in Galveston.  I race weekly and cruise leisurely when I can.  I just crewed in the Harvest Moon Regatta.  I'm looking to become heavily involved in GBCA. US Sailing Keelboat, Basic Crusing and Barefoot certifications.
