The Conundrum Regatta is two weeks from Saturday.  Is the NOR and registration coming out soon?

For those interested in the Space Shuttle mock up coming into Galveston Bay and Clear Lake, there is a 500 yd security zone around the barge.

Sure, I'll spring for A drink for each of the 12 single-handed skippers and even the race committee.  And if someone brings the office key, we got the big screen covered. Then you're on your own nickle, much like at the Classic.

 

Wha!?  I move my boat to literally across the street from GBCA and you move the party across the bridge into another county? I gotta hit the BS button on that one. Very disappointing.

I talked to Robert today.  All is well at Sunshine Yacht Service.  The reason the voice mail message was 'changed' was because Rebecca had the office phone forwarded to her cell phone while she was out cleaning boat interiors.  I did mention that I'd like a return call when I request service.  Even though they don't always return calls they have always done a good job for me.

Hey Chris, what are your intentions for non-spin and Club Handicap courses for Frostbite?  Are you leaning toward W/L or distance races?

For anyone sailing the HYC Mid-Winter this weekend out of Kemah Boardwalk Marina, be aware there is a 5k/10k foot race kicking off at 8:00.  The 10k is a double loop in Kemah and involves Bradford and 6th St. There could still be runners out there after 9:00.  Though the finish is on Kipp and shouldn't interfere.

Belgian beer is nice, but if she' s got my my vote for Yachtsman (sorry Karen) of the year.

Sabani is listed twice in the non-spin results. Those 2 lines should be consolidated, giving her 7 points for the series so far.

If the Mixed Doubles is aka the 'Divorce Cup' maybe the Single Handed should be known as the 'Crew Appreciation Regatta'.  Can somebody hand me a cold beer?

Thanks to GBCA for another great event.  Great weather and great sailing.  Loved the ro-sham-bo for the tie-breaker for third and fourth.  And even that had to go to, what, five rounds to get best 2-out-of-3 due to ties.  Good times.  And Kevin Box, that's just sick.
