I TOTALY LEFT OFF LAMBERTS ? SORRY!  Ruthie Lambert with Casey and Evan, also had a very, very rough first day, but fought back from the almost last in fleet, with a solid second day and then an eighth place finish to end the third day in 29th place.  If here is any boat to bet on jumping up big in the rankings it is ?Out of Sight.?

On the Hard (and apparently out of touch).

Coming into the last day of racing at the J22 worlds in NOLA, the sailors from the Houston area are almost covering the full spectrum in the 64 boat fleet.  Fighting hard at the top is Terry Flynn in 3rd place, four points behind the two boats tied for 1st and looking to fight off Rob Johnson (from J boats) on Dieselsnack marching up to 4th place, and a screaming Dazzler in 5th place who finished the third day of racing with two firsts.

Marvin Beckman also putting in the good fight and making up for a deep lower place ending on the first day, finished the day in 14th place.  Right behind him, Jake Scott (almost from Houston) did a great job jumping up in the ranks on the second day, only to have had what appears to have been a rough 3rd day, but still ending the day in 15th place.   

Brant Koepke and crew although otherwise showing well, ended the third day with a deep, and their worst, 48th place finish to end the day in 23rd place.   In the next bracketing, Alex Crowley, et al, are fighting back from what looks to have been a very, very rough first day, and are in 38th place, finishing a race with a third and ninth in the last two days.  Richard Voyles is striking up his band with a best finish eighteenth for the last race and ending the third day in 41st place.

Giving a solid performance with a make shift crew, thanks to yours truly bailing out (for work of all things), Anne Lee and the fun bunch are in 49th place just a little ahead of Tom Sutton in 52nd place.

Relaying/Reporting from a results page on the website, leaves a lot to be desired.  However, it appears there are some great racing stories to be told about this year?s J22 Worlds in New Orleans. The stories about what happened on the ground are, I am sure, best left restricted to those who got to participate in the regatta.  Good luck to all on the last day, you each have shown us desk jockeys back at home very proud.   Sailors from Houston as a whole really do know how to sail well.

And for those who may not know, in the Texas Gulf waters, the Harvest Moon Regatta looks to be finishing well with almost perfect weather.

By the way I do not know where to post this next request - so here is a good place.  I noticed that if you go to the members section where all members are listed, it gives several categories or boxes to fill in, like status, and number of posts, and several anachronisms that I have no clue what they mean.  There is one column that is entitled position.  I see some peole are listed as Board, or Adminstrator or Global Moderator.
Could someone please list me as Doggie Style?

I am really a bit perturbed.  I do not post that often, but I fully have believed that my normal day to day posting style is rather blunt, somewhat offensive (even under sailor standards) and generally provocative enough to earn my fair share of smotes.   Alas with an accumulation of seven posts I have merely achieved one lone negative karma points.  WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET  minus 34??

I was looking for an aluminum can bikini (and not bothering to check my lack of typing skills) but have not found any yet.  Does anyone have such a photo?  Does anyone think GBCA needs to sponsor an Aluminum can Bikini / Bathing suit contest?  Made from GBCA racing event cans.  Recycled after the contest.  Maybe a competition on the water with aluminum can sailboats made from cans from GBCA racing events or otherwise (some version of cloth sails) (will need to be a quick race before the cans start oxidizing) - boat needs to last 100 yards afloat.  All cans recycled.

Now there are clothing use for aluminum can.  See photo . . . if I can figure out how to attach it.

Recycling aluminum off a boat in salt water appears to be somewhat helpful - That is if the cans get to the recycling center.  If they are thrown away to end up in a landfill, it would be much "GREENER" to through them into the salt water and let them disintegrate. 

Now what is going on with the plastic water bottles that will be coming around on our boats as the heat rises?

I just want to reiterate one point Buddy made earlier.  Every chance you can, bring friends, or people you know, out to do some sailing, any sailing; and from my point of view if they are female . . .  way mo' better . . . .
